🤩 The new Foodbevy website is live and I need your help choosing what layout we should use for our home page. Could you help me decide?
Over the past few years we’ve created some really valuable content, but our original website was getting stale, and information was hard to find.
So I gave it a face lift to put our content front and center to make it easier to find our news, articles, webinars, and podcast.
Here’s where I need your help. Would you prefer to have the home page categorized by each media type (CPG news, articles, podcast, and webinar)?
or would you prefer a running feed with everything together?
Check out the two live links and e-mail me which version you prefer and why!

The Evolution Of Retail Ecommerce: From Shoppability To Consolidation To Strategy
Prior to 2020, many of the ways consumers now prefer to shop did not even exist yet.
Shoppability emerged out of pandemic-fueled necessity, with brands and retailers alike seeking ways to create paths to purchase while customers were confined to their homes.
This sparked the development of an entirely new ecommerce channel – retail ecommerce – and changed the retail landscape with buy online/pick up in-store (BOPIS), click-and-collect, curbside pickup, and ship-to-home options gaining quick traction.
Today, the channel has grown in consumer acceptance and adaptation, holding its own as the third ecommerce pillar alongside the established direct-to-consumer and pure play channels.
Let’s explore the evolution of retail ecommerce, from initial shoppability, to streamlining and consolidating, to running a true retail ecommerce strategy:
Reclaiming Your Team’s Time: 3 Strategies for Handling Deductions
In the daily operations of your business, certain tasks drive immediate progress, easily justifying the use of your team’s time. However, others, like deductions, aren’t as straightforward to prioritize. On the one hand, it can be seen as a priority because it directly affects the bank account and bottom line. On the other hand, the severity of impact and urgency is directly tied to the volume and amounts of deductions we’re talking about.
There’s also the experience factor that comes into play when deciding if and how much time will be dedicated to deductions. Those who have never experienced this uniquely CPG phenomenon may decide to jump in with both feet, not knowing what they’re in for. Before they know it, they’re deep in the weeds, spending too much time grappling with the intricacies of deduction coding, the origins of the deduction-causing promotions, or even the complexities of contractual agreements. On the other extreme of that spectrum, you always have the young brands that didn’t even realize deductions were a thing until they ate up a good chunk of margin (ouch).
So, how do you balance the task of deductions against everything else competing for your team’s time? Here we present 3 different approaches for handling them, along with pros and cons. Ultimately, there are no right or wrong answers – just the right one depending on your brand’s situation.
MANUFACTURING
How to Manufacture Your Beverage Product
Beverage manufacturing is one of the fastest-growing segments in contract manufacturing. The Beverage category is a very competitive market; it has a low barrier to entry for new competitors, high shipping and warehousing costs, and supply chain constraints for glass, aluminum, and cardboard. On the other hand, beverage brands lend themselves to be poised for rapid viral growth amongst other product categories, especially if they achieve product-market fit.
Unlike other products, beverages can be consumed multiple times a day – whether it’s sparkling water or a new seltzer, there is a better chance of a consumer drinking a six-pack in a sitting before they eat six nutrition bars or six bags of popcorn. Simply put, if consumers like a beverage, they buy it often!
