Build a High Converting E-commerce Site

Hey ,

Happy Monday! I hope you have a great start to the week coming up. This week I want to share some practical insights on creating a high-converting e-commerce site. Last Friday I hosted a webinar on this topic with Brandon who's the founder of ElectrIQ Marketing. He shared amazing recommendations that you should implement on your site.

The Core Components of a High-Converting Homepage

Top Banner & Navigation

  • Clear CTA - this is the first thing visitors will see and interact with.

  • Low-hanging fruit to A/B test this by simply changing the copy.

  • Easy to use mobile navigation.

Hero Section

  • Make sure to have a strong hero image and CTA as well as a header and sub-heading that focuses on the product and what it offers or solves.

Shoppable Section

  • Ability to add products directly to cart from the homepage.

WHY?

  • Include why your product is right for the visitor.

Subscription

  • Layout the perks of your subscription program. Typically these are 3-5 icons with explanatory copy (Heading & Subheading).

Social Proof, Reviews & Press

  • Showcase how your customers love your brand with reviews as well as imagery from social.

  • Include the logos of recent press mentions.

  • Oftentimes we’ll combine these into one or two sections.

Retailers

  • Showcase which retailers carry your product.

Comparison

  • Don’t be afraid to show how you’re different than your competition!

Ingredients

  • Especially for products that differentiate themselves with their ingredients, make sure you have a section that showcases what makes your products special.

Footer

  • The usual newsletter signup and social links.

WORKSHOP: HOW TO STRATEGICALLY USE RETAIL E-COMMERCE

Did you know that 45% of all online grocery orders are through In-Store Click and Collect programs? While most founders think of e-commerce as direct from the brand, most consumers still prefer to shop with their favorite grocery stores for at-home and in-store delivery. Join me for a workshop with Louis Condon about how to maximize sales through these channels by enabling your customers to get your products where it’s most convenient for them.

YOU’LL LEARN:

  1. Run your retail e-com like DTC — optimize ROAS for campaigns in real-time, build custom and lookalike audiences, run A/B tests, optimize campaigns for conversion, retarget abandoned carts, etc.

  2. Create a Store Locator that actually helps consumers buy — Manage your eComm inventory availability

  3. Increase sales velocity— Run campaigns to specific retailers to increase velocity

GET WHOLESALE INVOICES PAID ON TIME AND SAVE $45K

Every seasoned CPG founder knows – you build your brand selling D2C, but you build your business selling wholesale. Once you find your product-market fit, focusing on expanding your wholesale business can give you considerable upward momentum.

Streamlined eliminates the back-office work that goes with scaling a wholesale operation. It makes invoicing simpler and ‘streamlined’.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Create an invoice or link your Shopify to import all wholesale orders into Streamlined.

  2. Streamlined sends out send out invoices with automatically generated payment instructions. Your customers see all the traditional business payment methods including bank transfer and paper checks.

  3. When payments are received, Streamlined processes the payments on your behalf and automatically matches them to the invoice! It’s truly impressive when you think cases like overpayments, underpayments, payments for multiple invoices, etc are all handled for you.

Ori Zohar

, founder of Burlap & Barrel says "Streamlined makes our invoicing simpler, faster, and so much easier to manage. We've been saving time and getting our invoices paid faster since we switched over."

As an exclusive for the Foodbevy Community, we’ve partnered with the Streamline team to create a special offer. You can sign up and try Streamlined FREE for 12 months. That’s a saving of $45k/year in bookkeeping costs alone. Request an intro below to learn more and get the discount.
