📌 Wholesale Buyers are real people and share the same goals as YOU (high sales for your products). Form a PARTNERSHIP with your retail accounts rather than seeing them as the gatekeeper to your success.
📌 Your channel strategy depends on YOUR unique product. Figure out your target audience, what problem you solve for them, and where they most acutely FEEL that problem & search for the solution that you provide.
📌 BIPOC, LGBT & Queer Founders, Female Founders: If that's part of your brand story and shapes your values, share it LOUDLY and clearly to your potential wholesale accounts & consumers. Put it in your email signature, on your IG bio, as a bullet point on your sell sheet, and more. While it won't be the ONLY reason why a Buyer says "yes" to your product line, it can certainly get your foot in the door, especially now.
📌 Talking about justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in our natural products industry is HARD. It takes vulnerability. You'll mess up, say the wrong things, and make mistakes (I certainly have! 🙋🏻♀️). Knowing what to say, how to say it, and where the boundaries are can feel daunting. I don't have all the answers, but I'm here to figure it out, right alongside you.
